The SJBCT is a nonprofit business located in room 216 in West Hartford Town Hall that is run by volunteers and a part-time office manager. SJBCT receives no revenue for its services; it is funded by donations from foundations, local businesses and philanthropic individuals. SJBCT deposits in its data bank contact information on local, experienced senior workers who wish to find part-time work in the residential and business community.

Senior Job Bank providers must be at least 50 years old. Anyone of any age can apply to the Seniors Job Bank to receive services.

Interviews for prospective providers are conducted at the Chamber Office on a scheduled basis after applicants have applied through the Seniors Job Bank office (860-521-3210 or info@sjbct.org)


S.A.L.T./Triad

Triad is a partnership of three organizations: law enforcement, senior citizens, and community groups. The sole purpose of Triad is to promote senior safety and to reduce the unwarranted fear of crime that seniors often experience. S.A.L.T. (Senior And Law Enforcement Together) was formed to run the TRIAD. Canton Chamber works with these groups on ways to reduce crime and the unwanted fears against the elderly.
